Click for MVP Compliance Information

In adherence with state and federal requirements, each school must fulfill various MVP compliance tasks each school year.  Click on each compliance task below for details.

  • Each school year, a short MVP overview training must be facilitated for all staff.  The district MVP team has provided a template for your use, found at this link.

The template MUST be edited to insert specific resources and contact information at your school.

After the facilitation of the training, the following items must be uploaded to the compliance site (linked below).

    • Advertisement of Training (this can be an email, flyer, or letter sent to staff indicating time, date, and title of training)
    • School Specific Customized PowerPoint Presentation Shared (this can be in PDF or PP format) – PP files sent that are not customized to the school will be returned.
    • Sign-In Sheet:  Sign-In sheets MUST contain the following items.  Incomplete sign-in sheets will be returned.
      • Name of School
      • Name of Facilitator/s
      • Date of Training
      • Time of Training (if on Canvas, the sign-in should show the time and date the attendee logged in or if on TEAMS, the attendance log, showing date and time)
      • First and Last Name of Attendee
      • Signature (if in person, if digital, it should have time stamps from when training was completed)

    Non-Title I Schools

Title I Schools (NOTE: This site is the same compliance site used for your general Title I Compliance.  The MVP compliance documents will be part of your required Title I documentation.  Your Title I Compliance designee should perform the upload of documents.)

  • The district MVP Team will facilitate multiple trainings during the school year on MVP Identification, Hot Topics, Updates, and Resources.  Under Florida state statutes, school liaisons (or those supporting MVP Identification and Supports) must attend 2 trainings each school year.  The majority of these trainings will be embedded into district required training for the specific role.

For example, the Student Enrollment required registrar trainings will embed MVP content into the training at a minimum of twice each year.  This will count toward the requirement.  If the registrar (or a designee) attends those trainings, the school will meet the requirement for the registrar.  For MVP Support Staff, MVP content will be embedded within at least two District Elementary Counselor meetings and two District Social Worker meetings.  Again, if the school sends the counselor or Social Worker to those required role trainings, the school will meet the requirement for the Support Staff.

If your school designated someone who is NOT an Elementary Counselor or Social Worker as the school liaison (or MVP Support person), additional training will be offered by the MVP Team during the fall and in the spring.

It is essential that schools send a designee if the individual in the roles are vacant or the person designated as the Registrar and/or MVP Support person can’t attend.

Training dates and times will be announced via the Deputy Superintendent Memos and posted to the MVP Intranet Site under “Upcoming Events”.

  • The MVP Informational Flyer is one that should be posted in your front lobby and should be distributed to families after qualification to inform them of their rights.  You can find the flyer at this link.

  • Florida Statute requires that the Student Residency Questionnaire be distributed to all families each school year.  You can do this digitally or via hard copy, whichever is your preference.  We suggest that the form be distributed via the annual welcome packet, even if digital.

Below you will find the links to the SRQ in the top 6 languages.

    SRQ – English

    SRQ – Spanish

    SRQ – Portuguese

    SRQ – Vietnamese

    SRQ – Arabic

    SRQ – Haitian Creole

  • Once a school receives a SRQ, they should keep the document in a master file (digital or hard copy) for at least 5 years.  The SRQ is the document that explains why a student was enrolled at your school without all the proper documentation.  If you do not have the SRQ on file, the school would be out of compliance in an audit.  It also assists in documenting coding within Skyward for state purposes.  A student should not be coded in Skyward without an SRQ.

School staff are permitted to complete an SRQ on behalf of the parent, especially if the parent is struggling to complete the form independently and/or if transportation to the school is not possible.

We suggest that the Registrar keep the SRQs in a file that is accessible by administration and MVP Support designees to access as needed for student support and compliance needs.
